Duties & Responsibilities

  • Providing customer support by assisting Sales Executives
  • Answering, screening and forwarding incoming phone calls
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with a portfolio of customers and proactively responding to new sales enquiries
  • Developing confidence in approaching new clients for potential business, ensuring future business growth, profit and the encouragement of ongoing sales relationships using negotiation skills
  • Assisting in the increase of the customer base by identifying potential in new, dormant and existing accounts
  • Gain commercial and technical awareness of the steel industry sectors we trade with i.e. construction, agricultural, architectural or automotive and their applications
  • Developing an understanding of how to maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications for the compilation of management reports in business meetings, whilst learning to analyse competitor analysis, stock analysis, production planning, continuous improvement packages
  • Attending all training courses as and when required.

Experience

  • Experience within Sales and the steel industry is preferred.
