Shot-Blasting
Get the perfect coat every time with large scale shot-blasting and painting from AJN Steelstock.
The key to high quality paint finish is the preparation. If the steel hasn’t been prepared properly, no amount of paint will give you a quality, long lasting finish.
Our Wheelabrator and Gietart Preservation lines combine the heating, blasting, coating and drying of structural beams and columns, profiles, sheet and plate and structural hollow sections, in one automatic line.
Both lines can accommodate plates and structural material up to 20m in length and 2m (Henstridge) and 1.4m (Kentford) wide with automated transfer beds linking to saws and other equipment to reduce handling times. High quality water-based paints are used as part of our commitment to minimise our impact on the environment.
Priming Capabilities
Steel enters through our dual infeed and moves into a preheater. From there, eight turbines blast the steel to remove all contaminants, preparing the steel for painting.
Steel can be painted and dried, ready for use by the time it reaches the end of the line.
The complete process offers a protected, contaminant free, weld and galvanisation ready (if not painted) product.

Manchester Office Block

Over 300 tonnes of processed steel was supplied by AJN for the reconfiguration of an office building in Manchester.
Surrey Cancer Centre

Over 138 tonnes of processed steel was supplied by AJN for the construction of a new £30.5 million cancer diagnostic and treatment centre in Guildford, funded by Assura.
Trevi Home Showroom
(150 tonnes)
AJN supplied over 150 tonnes of structural steel for the construction of a three-storey showroom for luxury kitchen and bathroom specialists, Trevi Home.
