Notice
This role will be based at our Saxham site, but the individual will predominantly be out on the road.
Job Overview
Develop growth in the company through increased sales and customer acquisition. Generate sales leads, contact potential clients, and nurture existing customer relationships.
Salary
Highly competitive, dependent on experience + car allowance or company car
Plus benefits, plus discretionary bonus.
Shifts Available
Office hours (40 hours per week): Monday to Friday (08:30 – 17:00)
This includes a 30 minute unpaid break.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Using your sales skills and knowledge to identify opportunities that establish, develop and maintain sales; in both volume and profit
- Being well-organised to plan visits using as much intelligence as possible including (but not exclusively) well-maintained report files, customer journals, turnover reports, liaising with the Sales Executives and current information on any available systems and software
- Maintaining concise and accurate records of all meetings, completing reports for the Sales Executives and Managers, whilst working with Sales Executives on information such as leads, enquiries and your proposals noted in your reports
- Having excellent communication skills, the candidate will work closely with the Sales Manager, Sales Executives and Regional Sales Manager to increase AJN’s customer base by identifying opportunities with new, dormant and existing accounts. Making plans on how to form a strategy in consultation and with support from your Sales Manager
- Confidently approaching new clients for potential business, ensuring future business growth and profit. Obtaining critical information to develop and nurture any leads and potential increase in business
- Using excellent negotiation skills, knowledge of products and added-value services to prepare quotations when required
- Being self-motivated the successful candidate will generate new leads and customers through making outbound calls, emails or other means for business development, also having the initiative to identify/exploit any new business opportunities.
Experience
- Sales experience, ideally within the steel stockholding industry, or similar.
