AJN Steelstock donates steel to EACH for Treehouse Hospice expansion

AJN Steelstock is donating the steel required for the construction of a major expansion to the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices’ (EACH) Treehouse hospice in Ipswich.

As demand has grown year-on-year for the charity’s services, the expansion, which will feature around 20 tonnes of AJN donated steel, is expected to be completed in early 2028.

Set to futureproof the site, the expansion will feature a new wellbeing and therapy suite, a bigger, separated care activity area, a reconfigured catering and office wing and a significantly larger hydrotherapy pool.

The new facility will allow children and families to use the pool together and create precious memories, as well as bring The Treehouse in line with the Charity’s other two hospices in Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. The expansion will also include underfloor storage and more car parking spaces, while the new wellbeing and therapies suite will feature a dedicated private entrance for families.

It’s a pleasure to be part of a project that will directly benefit children, young people and families in and around Suffolk and North Essex. With demolition and early work underway, we’ll be sure to keep you updated as the project progresses.
