Following its 2022/23 Charity of the Year programme, leading UK steel stockholder, AJN Steelstock, has presented £24,105 to independent mental health charity, Mind.

Just over £7,000 was raised from various staff-led events, including a pre-loved item collection, a fantasy football league and a Christmas raffle, which offered employees the chance to win ‘a prize a day’ throughout December.

As part of the company’s Charity of the Year initiative, AJN Steelstock also made an initial £10,000 donation to the charity and agreed to match whatever their staff raised throughout the year.

With approximately one in four people in the UK experiencing a mental health problem, Mind works to raise awareness of mental health issues and provide a range of services, including helplines, support groups and online resources to those who need it. The donation from AJN Steelstock will help Mind continue to provide vital services to those in need.

AJN Steelstock has a long history of doing whatever it can to support good causes. From local schools, sports clubs and parish councils, through to talented sporting individuals and national and international charities, the company is keen to support the communities in which it operates and the causes it feels passionate about.
