AJN Steelstock donates steel to BBC’s DIY SOS “A New Beginning for Georgie”
AJN is proud to have donated a range of Universal Columns, Flat Bars and Hollow Sections to the DIY SOS team in Feniton, Devon to help Georgie and her three young children.
Airing on BBC One on Tuesday 29th September 2026, Nick Knowles and the DIY SOS team were tasked with giving Georgie and her children the fresh start they desperately needed after the sudden death of her husband, Chris.
As a carpenter, Chris was halfway through renovating the family home when he died, leaving Georgie and the children living on a building site with no means of finishing the work.
With the help of hundreds of volunteers, the team set out to complete the life changing project in November of 2025.
Now complete, the house now features separate bedrooms for her three children, including the bed that Chris built for his daughter, Eliza, increased storage space through the addition of two extensions and a whole-house makeover, including an open-plan kitchen and landscaped garden.
